Art Nouveau Rings

The Art Nouveau period was fanciful, sensual, playful and sensitive in its use of feminine flowing curvilinear lines and exquisite depiction of the female form. Art Nouveau Rings was about making more with less. Gold was used rather than platinum and semi-precious stones as opposed to precious stones. Seemingly shameless and unimportant to the Victorians and excessively emotional to the Edwardians, Art Nouveau’s appeal was to a new generation excited to celebrate the non-conformist style of the day fed by environmental and social pressures. Mounted with opals, garnets, demantoids, chalcedony, moonstones and pearls, these aesthetic creations continue to be rare finds that maintain their price on an international scale.
