This Tiffany & Co vintage bracelet is a constituent part of a necklace and bracelet set crafted in 18k yellow gold. An exquisite and authentic gold demi-parure of Tiffany and Co.'s 'Signature Collection', this classically elegant bracelet weighs 69.3g and measures 7.5 inches long, 15mm wide and 8mm deep. Artistically designed and immaculately crafted, this quintessentially 1950's Vintage Bracelet incorporates an assemblage of X-shaped links and alternately positioned 'bridge' motif profiles. This linear assemblage is rendered in artfully reeded, relief style yellow gold, creating a sensual, romantically fluid and aesthetically feminine pattern. Bracelets were amongst the most popular jewels of the 1950's, inspired to a great extent by the novelty designs of the post war era, in particular the avant-garde variations of fancy links created by European designers. A distinct feature of the 1950's vintage jewelry fashion was a clear differentiation between day and evening wear. Bracelets for evening wear tended to repeat the grland patterns of necklaces and favored diamonds, while day bracelets were rendered in gold of various colors, textured or plain, and incorporated ornately designed links of naturalistic or geometrical inspiration. They were often worn with matching necklaces, earrings and rings to suit the 'new look' of the 1950's fashion for complete 'parures'. This alluring Tiffany & Co. bracelet secures with a well concealed tongue-and-groove classp, bearing the designer's signature 'Tiffany & Co.'and the purity mark '750' denoting 18K gold.

Founded by Charles Louis Tiffany and his partner John B. Young in 1837, the very modest establishment in New York was called Tiffany & Young, a tiny store stocked with stationery, Chinese bric-a-brac, pottery, umbrellas, and desks. It was not until 1848 that they began to emphasize on what would eventually become their most important lines of production: jewelry and silver. In the year 1886, Tiffany introduced the six-pronged setting for diamond solitaires which has continued to bear the name of 'Tiffany setting' to the present time. Louis Comfort Tiffany took over the direction of his father's jewelry workshops after he died in 1902. Eighty-five percent of the gold jewelry sold today by 'Tiffany & co.' is made on their seventh floor workshop at their Fifth Avenue address.
