This is usually done in sophisticated electric or gas furnaces at specific pressures and atmospheric conditions. Our Ruby Rings are mounted with stones from Burma , sometimes termed ‘pigeon's blood', Madagascar and Thailand and are second only to diamonds in terms of hardness and durability.
